When was Champion Hills established and who owns it?
Champion Hills began in 1988 as a local venture by a small group of investors who believed this unique corner of Western North Carolina could yield an amazing golf experience. In 1992, The Branigar Organization, a subsidiary of Union Camp Corporation, purchased Champion Hills and built a strong foundation for its growth. By 2001, Champion Hills Club was entirely member-owned. Today, Champion Hills is a debt-free community and a premier country club that is entirely owned by its members.
